The Wienermobile comes to Market
The iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile visited the Farmers Market on May 21 thanks to Taylor Gray, a Farmington Hills native who has been driving the vehicle to events around the country for the last year. She's a Hotdogger, an goodwill ambassador for the company who "meats" and greets people and hands out treasure Wienermobile whistles.
For Taylor, her job is a dream come true. She’s been smitten with the Wienermobile ever since she first saw one at Henry Ford Museum (a 1952 model). Bringing it to the Market seemed natural: She has been to the Market many times with her dad, who goes almost every weekend.
She and the Wienermobile received a warm welcome at the Market, despite the storm that blew in and out. She expressed her gratitude to Market Manager Walt Gajewski in a text the following day:
"Thank you for everything! Bringing the Wienermobile to the Market meant the world to me."
And to many marketeers as well.
