Each week we celebrate our delight with having direct access to fresh locally grown produce picked for Farmington by our Michigan farmers. At the same time we also cherish a strong sense of place for community gathering. We bring that to life with live entertainment and children's activities at our Little Sprouts Kids Corner hosted by the Farmington Library and local early education schools.
We also prize the market as a resource for learning and outreach. Catch a cooking demo and find yourself up close with local chefs preparing savory recipes for you to sample while you learn and ask questions in a casual "over the fence" atmosphere .
Wellness and nutrition go hand in hand. We are proud to partner with Beaumont Health in supporting the market with registered nurses on site for free monthly screenings and valuable life enhancing open discussions on diet, exercise, nutrition, stress management and much more!
For outsize fun look to our Special Market Events which truly sets the market apart as something really special. We get festive with Strawberry Shortcake, ring the bell for community gathering at our annual charity corn roast and go all out for spooky fun with at our "Haunted Market". These events are standing market traditions that take place annually. In and around these special dates we enjoy delighting the community with pop up celebrations like National Children's Day and National Farmers Market Week.
Be sure to save the date for our 3rd Annual Italian American Day on September 14th and the 4th Annual Polish Festival on October 5th. Both of these events together brought nearly 10,000 people to downtown Farmington.
Each tab of this section will guide you to our Cooking Demo's, Health & Fitness guides, Little Sprouts Corner, weekly music and a full season of Special Events. Please come experience and enjoy. After all, this is all for you.....Be welcome at your community market!
