The Walkabouts, our weekly walking group, explore downtown Farming and strolls through neighbors – many of them historic – starting at 10 a.m. every Saturday.
Local experts often join the group to share information on the destinations, which have included homes in a Farmington historic district, the Gov. Warner Mansion, the Silver Dairy and the old Quaker Cemetery.
Joining the group couldn't be easier, says Polly Varhol, Market volunteer and Walkabout organizer. "Just show up," she says, around 9:45 a.m. at the Market's west entrance across from Dagwood's. And wear good walking shoes.
