Music Makes the Market!

Music is a harmonious mainstay at the market from Opening Day through the end of October! Each week brings a unique blend of acoustic rhythms and harmonies from folk to R&B to classic rock. Our musicians are veterans of the local music scene who add a dimension of both sound and feeling that will make your visit an experience. Come listen, or as pop troubadour legend Jackson Browne would have it, "Stay ... just a little bit longer ... Stay ... just a little bit more ..."

Sinjon Smith

A Detroit legend in the making. Formed in late 2003, Sinjon Smith's core is the longtime writing team of Chris Wietzke & Diane Smith who are known for their memorable melodies and unforgettable hooks. They are inspired by their love of such music greats as Led Zeppelin, Heart, Bonnie Rait, and Shelby Lynne. Sinjon Smith's live lineup includes guitarist Marc Davis, bass player Gregor Pendgraft, our drummer Lonnell Lewis, and vocalist Meagan McMillan. Sinjon Smith is able to smear the line between Pop/Rock & Country bringing the best of both genres to a new sound that sets them apart from all others in their class.

The Potter's Field

Rochelle Clark and John Natiw are The Potter's Field, a Midwest-based Folk/Americana/Roots duo. Larry Arbour has been doing acoustic folk-rock 60's, 70's, & 80's for 40 years. Bars, nightclubs, restaurants, country clubs, farmers markets, weddings, funerals, private parties, from Flat Rock to Clarkston. Self-taught at 13, and never stopped. Songs from the soul. For kids 6 to 96.
